2024 Golden Globe Nominees Announced: ‘Barbie’ Leads with Nine Nominations

December 11th announced nominees for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Golden Globe Award.

The leader in the number of nominations was Greta Gerwig’s film “Barbie” with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling – it claims to win in nine categories. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer received eight nominations. Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and Yorgos Lanthimos’ “The Lost and Lost” each received seven nominations.

The nominees for Best Dramatic Film are Anatomy of a Fall, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives and Zone of Interest.

The contenders for the award in the category “Best Comedy Film” were the films “Air: The Big Leap”, “Barbie”, “American Fiction”, “The Leftovers”, “May December” and “The Lost and Lost”.

Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, Greta Gerwig, Bradley Cooper (“Maestro”), Yorgos Lanthimos and Celine Sohn (“Past Lives”) are up for the Golden Globe nomination for Best Director.

In the category “Best Drama Actor” are Andrew Scott (“We Are Strangers”), Leonardo DiCaprio (“Killers of the Flower Moon”), Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”), Bradley Cooper (“Maestro”), Colman Domingo (“Rustin” ) and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn).

The nominees for the award in the category “Best Drama Actress” are Annette Bening (“Diana Naked”), Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”), Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”), Greta Lee (“The Past”) life”) and Sandra Hüller (“Anatomy of a Fall”).

The 81st Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 7, 2024.
