2024 Formula 1 World Championship Calendar Announced with 24 Races

Formula 1 has announced the calendar for the 2024 F1 World Championship as approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council. The calendar will have 24 races, starting with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 2nd and ending with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 8th. F1 has made clear its intention to further regionalize its calendar, reduce logistical burdens and make the season more sustainable.

As a result, the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship calendar will allow for better racing flow in certain regions by back-to-back with the Japanese Grand Prix in April, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in September and the Qatar Grand Prix back-to-back with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This work continues with a realization of the fact that as a World Championship, there will always be a need for travel that cannot be fully localized due to climate and contractual constraints. The season-opening two races of the Bahrain Grand Prix and Saudi Arabia Grand Prix will also be held on Saturday. This is a decision to coincide with Ramadan (the month of fasting). 2024 F1 Calendar Date Grand Prix Venue February 29-March 2 Bahrain GP Sahil March 7-March 7 Saudi Arabian GP Jeddah March 22-March 24 Austrian GP Melbourne April 5-April 7th Japanese GP Suzuka April 19-21 Chinese GP Shanghai May 3-5 May Miami GP Miami May 17-19 Emilia Romagna GP Imola May 24-May 26th Monaco GP Monaco June 7-9 June Canadian GP Montreal June 21-23 Penn GP Barcelona June 28-30 Austrian GP Spielberg July 5-7 British GP Silverstone July 19-22 Hungarian GP Budapest July 26-28 Belgian GP Spa-Francorchamps August 23-25 Dutch GP Zandvoort August 30- September 1 Italian GP Monza September 13-15 Azerbaijan GP Baku September 20-22 Singapore GP Singapore October 18-20 US GP Austin October 25-October 27th Mexican GP Mexico City 11/1-11/3 Brazilian GP Sao Paulo 11/21-11/23 Las Vegas GP Las Vegas 11/29-12/1 Qatar GP Losail 12/6-12/8 Regarding the announcement of the 2024 Formula 1 calendar at the Yar Marina, Japan Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi, Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula 1, said: “We have created a 2024 calendar of 24 races that will bring an exciting season to fans around the world. “We are delighted to announce that there is tremendous interest and continued demand for F1 and we believe the calendar strikes a good balance between traditional racing and new and existing venues.” “We would like to thank our promoters and partners for their support and hard work in achieving this impressive schedule. Our efforts will continue over the next few years, and with plenty of races to look forward to in 2023, including the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, fans will be looking forward to even more excitement next season.” FIA President Mohamed Bin “The planned 2024 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar, which has been endorsed by the Motor Sport Council members, marks several important steps towards our common goals,” Sulayem said. We want to make the global spectacle of Formula 1 more efficient in terms of environmental sustainability and more manageable for our traveling staff who spend a lot of time on our sport. Stefano Domenicali and his team have done an excellent job of bringing new and exciting destinations to emerging markets for Formula 1 while staying true to the sport’s long and wonderful traditions.” The race is only possible thanks to the cooperation of the FIA, FOM, the promoters and the ASN who bring together thousands of volunteer marshals and support personnel to organize the races, and move forward into the future. In order to do so, we must ensure that our priorities are elevated and developed, taking into account the needs of society and what is best for sport, fans and the environment.”
