LONDON – The Bahrain Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be held on Saturday for the first time in F1 history. This follows from the calendar for next season, which was published by the management of the motor racing series on Wednesday. The championship will have a record 24 events in the following year.

The 2024 edition will begin on March 2 in Bahrain and culminate on December 8 in Abu Dhabi. Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will join the non-traditional Saturday date in which the VC Las Vegas takes place this year and next year. The reason is to adapt to the Muslim Ramadan, which will last from March 10 to April 8.

Due to logistical reasons, the order of some races has also changed. The WC of Japan was moved from September to April, the WC of Azerbaijan from April to September, and the WC of Qatar will be held in December instead of October. In August, the riders will have a traditional three-week break, the next three weeks off will be at the turn of September and October. The information was brought by the DPA agency.
