TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Deputy Chair of the National Campaign Team or TKN Prabowo-GibranHabiburokhman, claimed that his party received input from the public regarding alleged activities aimed at thwarting 2024 Election. He said the activity was newspaper publishing Danger!deployment student for demonstrations, clashes between the TNI and the community, and even the termination of social assistance or social assistance.
The Gerindra Party politician said, newspaper Danger! contains slander about Prabowo as the kidnapper of activists in 1998. “This has been circulating for 2-3 days,” he said at a press conference in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Friday, January 12 2024. In fact, he claimed there were legal facts that proved Prabowo not involved in the disappearance of 98 activists.
Habiburokhman said the four facts were the absence of testimony from witnesses in the Team Mawar trial which mentioned Prabowo’s order to kidnap activist 98 and the decision of the Officer Honorary Council Number KEP/03/VIII71998/DKP which was only a recommendation.
Furthermore, Habiburokhman said that former President BJ Habibie dismissed Prabowo as Danjen Kopassus with respect and the inability of Komnas HAM to complete the results of the investigation of serious human rights violations that Prabowo had been accused of submitting to the Attorney General’s Office since 2006.
“In fact, according to the provisions of Article 20 of Law Number 26 of 2000, the time for Komnas HAM to complete the results of the investigation is only 30 days,” he said.

It didn’t stop there, Habiburokhman said there were efforts to incite students to demonstrate to build a narrative of dynastic politics and demand the arrest of suspected human rights violators. Although according to him Prabowo did not violate human rights, Habiburokhman admitted that he was worried that the call would be used to slander parties contesting in the 2024 elections.
“We know that in this election era it is very sensitive when there are demonstrations, of course they provoke reactions from other parties,” he said.
Furthermore, Habiburokhman said that his party also received reports of attempts at clashes between the TNI and the community ahead of the 2024 elections. Habiburokhman gave the example of the beating case carried out by TNI members against Ganjar-Mahfud volunteers in Boyolali. “There are parties who continue to stir up this issue,” he said.
Finally, Habiburokhman said that there was a narrative of delaying or stopping social assistance during the 2024 elections. Habiburokhman assessed that if the government program was stopped it would actually disrupt the continuity of the 2024 elections.
“The reaction will be very strong from the public and the stakes are of course that the peaceful elections we want will not materialize,” he concluded.
