Jakarta –
Bawaslu RI revealed that there was a delivery of logistics for the 2024 election that was not accompanied by an escort and even the truck was left behind. Spokesperson for the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Viva Yoga Mauladi, admitted that he was shocked by the news.
‘Wow, that’s too late if the news is true. Election logistics should be an important part of building election quality. “TKN wants elections that are free, fair, safe, peaceful, of quality and have integrity,” Viva told reporters, Thursday (28/12/2023).
Viva hopes that logistics should be managed in a modern way. He asked that distribution always be accompanied by an escort.
“Therefore, logistics distribution must be managed in a modern, digital and transparent manner. Security officers can be assigned to oversee the security of logistics distribution,” he said.
Previously, the Indonesian Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) said there were reports regarding the delivery of logistics for the 2024 Election without escort. Bawaslu said that the election logistics were only delivered by one driver and the truck was left behind.
“There was one of these reports recently, in one of these reports there was a KPU logistics delivery with no guards at all. Only one driver and the truck were abandoned, they had to look for the address of the KPU warehouse,” said Chairman of Bawaslu RI Rahmat Bagja at the Bawaslu RI Office , Central Jakarta, Thursday (27/12).
Bagja said this should not happen. He said the delivery of logistics for the 2024 election must be carried out under escort.
“We will reveal (the location) later. The province is close to here, not (Jakarta), next to DKI Jakarta,” said Bagja.
“So, even though it’s not a logistics ballot, it indicates that there will be problems if KPU friends are not open and don’t contact the local security forces to then oversee the distribution of KPU logistics, KPPS friends’ logistics. This is what we should worry about in the future,” he continued. .
