2024 BMW X2 M35i Launches in Brazil: Performance Specs, Price, and Features of the New SUV Coupe

BMW is already selling the new X2 M35i in its sales network in Brazil, which is now the top of the X2 family line in the national market. The model joins the X2 XDrive 20i and the electric iX2 XDrive 30i, was launched in the country in July this year.

The X2 M35i has a 2.0 four-cylinder turbo engine developed by BMW’s M Performance division, delivering 317 hp and 40.7 kgfm of torque. This performance is better than the X2 XDrive 20i, which also uses a gasoline engine, but with 204 hp and 30.3 kgfm. In addition, it does 0 to 100 km / h in 5.4 s, 0.2 seconds faster than the electric iX2 XDrive 30i.

The engine works in conjunction with a seven-speed automatic transmission with two clutches and all-wheel drive. The powertrain system offers adjustable driving modes, as does the adaptive suspension. According to BMW, the X2 M35i has a top speed limited to 250 km/h. Again, it is faster than the other versions of the X2 available in Brazil: the X2 XDrive 20i reaches 231 km / h and the electric version reaches 180 km / h.

In addition to the mechanical differences, the X2 M35i includes special materials from the German automaker’s M brand. The vehicle has dual fuel tips and a rear spoiler made of carbon fiber, a material that is also present in the seats, which have a wider side backrest. The steering wheel reinforces the sporty theme with Alcantara upholstery and a red marker in the upper central part, showing the direction of the front wheels. Other different details about the car are the headlights with dark masks and the 21-inch wheels with a design from the BMW sports department.

Coupe SUV costs half a million reais

The extra power and unique styling of the X2 M35i compared to other variants makes up for it. The new SUV coupe is on sale on the BMW network in Brazil for R $512,950. Therefore, the model is R $ 124,000 more expensive than the entry level version with engine and gasoline Compared to the iX2 XDrive 30i, the new sports version costs R $ 69,000 more.
