Bola.net – The Indonesian National Futsal Team faced hosts Saudi Arabia on matchday 3 Group B 2024 Asian Futsal Cup Qualification, Wednesday (11/10/2023) evening WIB. In this match at Green Hall, Dammam, Indonesia lost 2-3.
The Indonesian Futsal National Team showed a less than convincing performance in the first half. Marcos Sorato’s team had to trail 0-3 to Saudi Arabia until the halftime break.
In the second half, Indonesia scored two goals through the actions of Ardiansyah Runtuboy and Firman Adriansyah. However, this goal was unable to save the Garuda Team from defeat.
Thanks to this result, Indonesia only ranked third in the final standings of Group B and failed to qualify for the 2024 Asian Futsal Cup finals. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia rose to second place and qualified for the finals.

First round

The Indonesian national team played anticlimactic in the first half. Even though they played aggressively, the attacks built by Runtuboy et al. still very easy to read by opponents.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia often threatens counterattack schemes which have proven effective. The hosts managed to open the scoring in the 15th minute.
Only a minute later, the counterattack again became a scourge for Indonesia. Saudi Arabia also succeeded in doubling its lead to 2-0.
Two minutes later, Saudi Arabia broke into Ahmad Habibie’s goal again, this time through a set piece scheme. The Indonesian national team was behind 0-3 until the first half ended.

Second round

Entering the second half, Indonesia tried to increase their aggressiveness. As a result, Runtuboy successfully scored a goal in the 24th minute to reduce the deficit to 1-3.
This goal succeeded in whipping up Indonesia’s spirit. Firman also succeeded in breaking into the opponent’s goal in the 33rd minute. Indonesia is increasingly eager to catch up.
Despite continuously pressing Saudi Arabia’s defense, Indonesia failed to score the third goal. A score of 2-3 in favor of Saudi Arabia was the final result of this match.
