Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, October 30. On October 30, the 2023 World Youth Development Forum opened in Beijing. Luosang Jiangcun, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Lobsang Jiangcun said that last year, President Xi Jinping announced that China would host the World Youth Development Forum and co-launch the Global Youth Development Action Plan, and sent a letter of congratulations to the first forum, emphasizing that we would jointly write a new chapter in the era of unity and cooperation among the world’s youth. Youth are the future of the country and the future of the world. China is willing to work with other countries to lead young people to shoulder the responsibility of the times to assist global development, empower young people to develop excellent skills to assist global development, and unite young people to gather wisdom and power to assist global development.
The theme of this forum is “Youth United Action, Innovation Drives Development”. It is hosted by the All-China Youth Federation and the Organizing Committee of the World Youth Development Forum. About 2,000 Chinese and foreign young leaders attended the forum online and offline. During the forum, a Global Youth Development Action Plan Expo will be held to showcase the first batch of 100 typical projects.
