Group E standings U-17 World Cup 2023 experienced changes after France beat South Korea on Wednesday (15/11). The following is the standings for Group E of the 2023 U-17 World Cup as of Wednesday (15/11) evening.
France managed to continue its winning trend in Group E of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
On the second matchday of Group E, France successfully beat South Korea 1-0 in a match held at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
France’s only goal in this match was scored by Mathis Amougou in the second minute.
The victory over South Korea made France strengthen its position at the top of Group E by scoring six points from the two matches played.
Meanwhile, in the other match in Group E, America Setika successfully beat Burkina Faso with a score of 2-1 at JIS on Wednesday (15/11) afternoon.
The United States’ two winning goals were scored by Keyrol Figueroa in the 45th minute and Nimfasha Berchimas’ goal in the 45+6 minute.
The victory over Burkina Faso put the United States in second place in Group E with six points from the two matches played. Now France and the United States have confirmed that they will qualify for the last 16 of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
Meanwhile, South Korea is in third place in Group E with zero points from two matches. Then, the bottom position in Group E is occupied by Burkina Faso with zero points from the two matches played.
