The All European Finals will be presented in the top party 2023 U-17 World Cup. Germany U-17 national team and France U-17 will compete for the championship title.
Two finalists U-17 World Cup 2023 was confirmed after the semifinal matches were completed at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Tuesday (28/11/2023). Germany was the first to ensure qualification after beating Argentina in a dramatic match in the afternoon.
Having quickly taken the lead, turned behind, then took the lead again, Germany drew 3-3 with Argentina in normal time. The eventual winner was determined via penalty shootout, with Germany winning 4-2.
Fierce matches were also presented in the evening. Mali took the lead over France through Ibrahim Diarra at the end of the first half.
Game-wise, Mali looked more dangerous every time he controlled the ball. But the situation changed when they lost a player due to the red card received by Souleymane Sanogo.
France immediately equalized the score from a free kick resulting from Sanogo’s foul. Yvann Titi’s header changed the score and gave France momentum.
Les Bleuets then scored the second goal from Ismail Bouneb’s free kick, which also took them to the final. Thus, the All European Finals will take place at the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
For Germany, this is the second final after 1985 when they had to settle for being runners-up after losing to Nigeria. France are also looking at their second final, but they won it on the first occasion in 2001.
The 2023 U-17 World Cup final itself will be held at Manahan Stadium, Solo on Saturday (2/12/2023) evening WIB. Meanwhile, Argentina and Mali will fight for third place at the same place, Friday (1/12) evening WIB.
