This potential occurs several years sooner than initial predictions, and the impact is even thought to be much more devastating.
Initially, scientists predicted that the current solar cycle would reach its peak in 2025. The sun is a ‘living, breathing’ ball of gas, which is constantly active.
Like most natural processes on Earth, solar activity is cyclical or repeats itself over a certain period of time.

This arc ultimately traps solar plasma, which at one point will break and produce two phenomena, both of which can cause solar storms.

Apart from that, solar activity can also influence the intensity of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF).
Although the magnetosphere or one layer of Earth’s atmosphere can deflect most of the solar activity carried by the solar wind, some particles ejected by CMEs can still enter Earth.
These energetic particles then cause magnetic disturbances, which are further classified as geomagnetic storm phenomena or solar sub-storms.
Solar storms that emit geomagnetic waves can also create beautiful celestial phenomena, known as aurora lights in the Earth’s polar regions.
However, the solar storm phenomenon can also be very destructive and dangerous, namely it can cause destructive space weather, especially causing disruption to satellites and internet networks.
