The error concerns the amount of the household waste collection tax (TEOM). This anomaly results from an inversion of the rate entered manually: it led to the application of a TEOM rate of 11.17% instead of the rate voted by the agglomeration council, namely 11.71%. The corrected amount of property tax will be communicated beginning of November 2023 to taxpayers who will receive a new notice. This will take into account payments already made. Taxpayers will benefit from an additional period until December 15, 2023 to pay their property tax
• monthly taxpayers will be automatically deducted from the supplement in December 2023. No action on their part is expected.
• taxpayers deducted at the due date will also not have to take any additional steps. The supplement will be automatically withdrawn from their bank account in December. For these first two cases, regularization will be carried out automatically by the administration.
• other taxpayers will have an additional deadline extended to December 15, 2023 to pay the entire amount of their TF. The Departmental Directorate of Public Finances of Gard apologizes to the taxpayers concerned as well as to Nîmes Métropole for this inconvenience.
