Eight athlete results National Selection (Seleknas) ensure tickets pass to the National Training Center (Pelatnas) PBSI.
This was conveyed by the Head of the PBSI Binpres, Rionny Mainaky, who said that the National Seleknas champions would automatically be called to join their seniors, who were previously in Cipayung, East Jakarta.
“I congratulate and thank the players for their efforts who performed enthusiastically and never gave up so that they could become national selection champions and be accepted into the National Training Center,” said Rionny in a written statement from PBSI, Wednesday (17/1/2024).
PBSI had previously held the National Seleknas since January 15 until its peak today. A total of five matches were contested from five sectors in the final round.
As a result, eight athletes successfully realized their dream of joining the PBSI National Training Center. They are the mixed doubles Bimo Prasetyo/Ziya Syafira Zulfa Putri Abdillah from the Power Rajawali Tangerang/PB 67 Tangerang club, then the men’s doubles Adrian Pratama/Jonathan Farrell Gosal from Jaya Raya Jakarta.
In the women’s doubles sector, Isyana Syahira Meida/Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine (Djarum Kudus), while in the men’s singles sector Bismo Raya Oktora and women’s singles Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi successfully represented Jaya Raya in PBSI.
“I’m happy to have won and won the national selection. Finally I was able to get a ticket to enter the national training which I have dreamed of for a long time. Earlier we played with enthusiasm and the game was also smooth,” said Bimo.
“Being able to win the national selection and being accepted into the national training will be our first step. Of course I will train even more enthusiastically so that I can become a champion,” Ziya added.
Bimo/Ziya previously succeeded in crushing the hopes of Muhammad Firza Athallah Putra Sungkono/Geraldine Alexandra Bolang (Djarum Kudus) with a score of 21-17, 21-14.
Adrian/Jonathan, who also succeeded in going to Pelatnas, said that the ticket to Pelatnas was the first step in realizing his even bigger dream.
Adrian/Jonatan managed to beat the first seed, Emanuel Joseph Surya Hartono/Muhammad Voyage Afrisal Mahendra (Djarum) with a score of 21-19, 21-13.
“The competition for participating in the national selection, rankings one to seven, was very even. I just wanted to give my best game and finally win. My dream of entering the national training can be achieved. But this victory is just the first step,” said Jonathan.
“We just tried our best and played carefree. We played optimally and tried our best and the result was to win,” said Adrian.
