The inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament will see all 30 teams compete for the new NBA Cup in an event that will add some extra stakes to the early part of the season.

Teams have been split into six groups of five and every game played on Tuesdays and Fridays in November will count as both regular season games and tournament games.

The winners of the six groups and two wild-card teams will advance to the quarterfinals, with the semifinals and finals scheduled to be played in Las Vegas in early December. The teams that don’t advance out of the tournament will have two games added to their schedule to give every team 82 games for the season.
