Three days before the start of hostilities, the die is now cast. Thursday in Turin, the draw for the two pools of the Masters (November 12-19) was made. While he is aiming for a record 7th title in the event – he is currently co-record holder with Roger Federer –, the title holder Novak Djokovic knows his first three opponents: Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Holger Rune, who will therefore have well entitled to a revenge of the Rolex Paris Masters against the Serbian, accompany him in the green group. In the red group, Carlos Alcaraz will face Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev. This Masters tournament promises to be particularly tough. Because besides Djokovic, three other players have already won the event: Zverev twice (2018 and 2021), Tsitsipas (2019) and Medvedev (2020). In fact, the winners of the last five editions, since the “Djoker” won last year, are there for this 2023 edition which will be the first for Alcaraz (forfeit last year) and Rune. Jannik Sinner had already participated as a substitute in 2021.
