Radiosporten has revealed who has a chance to win the coveted Jerring Prize in 2023, which, unlike many other awards, is decided by the Swedish people. It will be an exciting few weeks before the winner is presented at the Sports Gala in January.
If your heart beats a little extra for our winter sports stars, you are welcome to help vote for them. But note that…
…first round of voting ends December 19 at 3 p.m then the candidates with the least number of votes disappear.
Nominated from the Swedish Skiing Association
Ebba Andersson, skis 099-321 01
Radio sport’s justification: Best when it mattered. In the World Cup, things went smoothly during the season, but when it mattered most, Öberg delivered. WC gold in the distance race and in the mass start. Two more medals made her WC queen in German Oberhof.
Sandra Näslund, ski cross 099-321 08
Radiosport’s justification: Totally superior. New individual WC gold and also the same noble denomination in the two-team competition in Georgia. In addition, completely superior in the World Cup, where she now has 37 partial victories in total in her career.
Also the Swedish Parasport Association’s alpine star Ebba Årsjö 099-321 11 is nominated for the Jerring Prize.
