Publishers and developers will not meet again this year at the E3 fair in Los Angeles. It has been cancelled, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have exciting days and weeks waiting for us to devour information and samples of upcoming games. This summer is going to be really hot. The Summer Showcase kicks off the PlayStation Showcase. Sony will show games for PS5 and PS VR2 from its teams within PlayStation Studios and partners and independent creators. The company is beckoning for some new brand.

According to unconfirmed information, the PlayStation Showcase is supposed to be the beginning of the second phase of the PS5’s life and showcase the best, not only in terms of games, but also in terms of hardware. There is speculation about a new PS5 model with a removable drive and a Q Lite handheld for playing games from the cloud.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games will be a certainty. This is currently the only game announced by Sony for this year. We expect that the action-adventure will be complemented by a separate multiplayer action set in the world of The Last of Us by Naughty Dog and a brand new one from the Bend studio, which should include singleplayer and multiplayer and build on the open world systems of Days Gone.

In the case of partners, it is easier. Here we write Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Stellar Blade, Baldur’s Gate III, Death Stranding 2, Rise of the Ronin and hopefully Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake will show up.

It is mentioned more and more Metal Gear Solid 3 remake announcement. But it is not supposed to be exclusive to PS5, the game is also to be released on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

We should see three to four big announcements during Summer Game Fest. Producer and presenter Geoff Keighley can count on more than 40 partner companies. Among them are PlayStation, Xbox, Activision Blizzard, Capcom, CD Projekt RED, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Netflix, Sega, Square Enix, Steam, Techland, Ubisoft, Warner Bros, Focus Entertainment or Disney.

In this case, it is difficult to name what we will see. This is expected to be the biggest and most important non-E3 presentation that just about everyone will show up to. Among other things, we should see Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. The first Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay footage and news about Lies of P have been confirmed.

World premieres and exclusive trailers. The organizers of the summer Future Games Show promise these two things. They usually focus on smaller titles and games from indie developers. But this production is also interesting.

The Xbox Game Studios division, together with ZeniMax Media and Bethesda, have a lot of games in development for Xbox consoles and PC that they will want to show us and knock the competition on their heels. We expect Forza Motorsport, Avowed, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, The Outer Worlds 2, Perfect Dark, Fable, State of Decay 3 and Contraband from Avalanche Studios (the creators of Just Cause and Mad Max).

Indiana Jones from the creators of the Wolfenstein series from the MachineGames studio, some new shooter from id Software and a brand new brand from ZeniMax Online (The Elder Scrolls Online) may surprise. Of course, these and other games will be complemented by projects from partners, such as STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and a showcase of games that will expand Xbox and PC Game Pass.

Both Bethesda and Microsoft have high hopes for this space adventure from the studio of Todd Howard and the team behind Skyrim. The presentation dedicated exclusively to Starfield shows that the company wants to show its novelty in full force and show players reasons to look forward to 06/09/2023.

Not only PC gamers, but also everyone else should watch the PC Gaming Show 2023. The presentation will offer a total of 55 games, 16 of which will be seen for the first time. The organizers revealed that Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate III, Funcom’s Dune: Awakening, Mainframe Industries’ Pax Dei, and a brand new project from Klei Entertainment will definitely be showing. In case you didn’t know, this American studio created Don’t Starve and Oxygen Not Included.

“The PC is overflowing with interesting games. Our goal is always to highlight the wide range of fresh and creative work coming to PC, from big franchises like PUBG, XCOM and ARK to genre newcomers like Valheim, which debuted at the 2020 PC Gaming Show.” said Evan Lahti, editor-in-chief of PC Gamer.

In addition to the main presentation and Starfield Direct, Microsoft also organizes an extended presentation focused on interviews with developers of individual games. So we don’t expect big announcements. Last year there was The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Valheim, Microsoft Flight Simulator or Fall Guys.

The summer presentation will close the already traditional opening night of the German Gamescom trade fair. Like Summer Game Fest, Gamescom Opening Night Live is hosted by Geoff Keighley. But it is still too early to think about what we will see.

Last year, Gamescom Opening Night Live was two hours and we saw, among others, Everywhere from the former producer of Grand Theft Auto, The Callisto Protocol, Hogwarts Legacy, Destiny 2 Lightfall, Goat Simulator 3, Return to Monkey Island, Lies of P, Atlas Fallen or Dead Island 2.
