When asked when the construction work on the new TU will begin, Minister of Education Martin Polaschek said: “There’s a lot going on, but things just take a bit. We are in the process of preparing the legal basis. If everything goes well, they will go through parliament before the summer holidays.” Organizational preparations are being worked on behind the scenes, says Polaschek.

At the same time, there are already intensive plans in Linz, where exactly the location will be and what the premises will look like. The first scientists will definitely be at the Technical University as early as 2023, as will the first courses. According to Polaschek, full study will begin in 2024.
