The electronic voting process began in the election centers at eight o’clock in the morning and will continue until eight o’clock in the evening, in addition to remote voting, whether from inside or outside the country, which will end at exactly eight o’clock in the evening on the same day, UAE time.
Electoral centers across the country have witnessed a remarkable turnout of members of electoral bodies since the beginning of the voting process, which reflects the awareness and national responsibility among citizens of the importance of political participation and parliamentary work in the Emirates, which is clearly evident through the great interaction demonstrated by segments of society, especially women, youth, and people of determination, in effective participation. by the electoral process.
The National Elections Commission was keen to provide all the capabilities that ensure the highest standards of accuracy, transparency and integrity of the electoral process, and at the same time ensure a better conduct of all voting processes on election day.
The main election day represents an opportunity for voters who did not vote during the early voting period (October 4 and 5) and the October 6 designated for remote voting only to participate effectively in this national duty.
After the completion of the voting operations and the closing of the centers, the preliminary counting results of the voting operations and the preliminary list of winners for the 2023 Federal National Council elections will be announced.
The National Elections Committee has clarified that the official announcement of the preliminary results of the 2023 Federal National Council elections will be made at the main election center in the Abu Dhabi Energy Center after the complete completion of the voting process on the day of the main election.
The approved election centers for electronic voting on Presidential Election Day include 24 centers distributed across the Emirates as follows: 9 centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including 3 centers in the city of Abu Dhabi, with their headquarters: Abu Dhabi Energy Center, Zayed University, and Al Hawashim Council, and 3 centers in the Al Dhafra region. Its headquarters are: Madinat Zayed Wedding Hall, Ghayathi City Wedding Hall, and Al Sila Wedding Hall, and 3 centers in the Al Ain area. Its headquarters are: Al Ain Convention Center, Al Waqan Wedding Hall, and Al Heer Wedding Hall.
While the number of election centers in the Emirate of Dubai is 3, and their headquarters are: Al Multaqa Hall in the Dubai World Trade Center, the Hatta Wedding Hall, and the Al Khawaneej Majlis, in addition to 5 election centers in the Emirate of Sharjah, and their headquarters are: the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, the Mleiha Cultural Sports Club, and the Al Khawaneej Council. Two electoral centers were also identified in the Emirate of Ajman, and their headquarters are at the Sheikh Zayed Conference and Exhibition Hall at Ajman University, and the Sanad Services Center in the Masfout area, in addition to identifying two electoral centers in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, whose headquarters are the Expo Center and the Al Ghail Youth Center, and two electoral centers in the Emirate of Fujairah. Their headquarters are the Fujairah Exhibition Center and the Dibba Exhibition Center, in addition to identifying one electoral center in Umm Al Quwain, headquartered in the Al-Ittihad Hall for Events.
