2023 Car Incentives Remain in Place Despite Delay in New Government Decree – What You Need to Know

WE REMAIN TO 2023 – On January 23, 2024 the platform to book the car incentives. FUNDS FOR 570 MILLION – These bonuses are available until the available funds are exhausted, for cars equal to 570 million euros. A total of 205 million of euros (194.75 million for private individuals, 10.25 million for car sharing and long-term rental). For plug-ins the resources are 245 million of euros (232.75 + 12.25 million euros), while for hybrids and thermals the available figure is 120 million euros (entirely intended for private individuals).

THE EGG OR THE HEN? – It remains to be seen how the market will accept the current incentives. The Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso had in fact announced much larger incentives at the end of last year, which could reach up to 13,750 euros in the best situations. The new decree it should be presented to the sector associations next February 1st but it will still take several weeks before it actually comes into force. Customers will choose the egg today, that is lower incentives but are they sure, or will they prefer the chicken tomorrow, waiting for a more substantial but still smoky ecobonus?
