2023 AFC Asian Cup: Korean National Football Team Schedule Confirmed

Final quenching scheduled for Abu Dhabi, UAE
The schedule for the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup for the Korean national team led by coach Jürgen Klinsmann has been finally confirmed.

The Korea Football Association said on the 29th, “Most overseas players, including Son Heung-min (Tottenham), are scheduled to leave their teams and be called up to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on January 2 next year in accordance with the call-up regulations.” Lee Kang-in is scheduled to play in the French professional soccer league. “I will join after playing in Ang’s Paris Saint-Germain Super Cup match,” he announced.

The Asian Cup is a mandatory draw competition according to FIFA regulations. Accordingly, meetings can be made two weeks before the first game of the competition.

Son Heung-min will join Klinsmann after playing the 20th round of the ‘2023-2024 English Professional Football Premier League (EPL)’ against Bournemouth at 11 pm (Korean time) on the 31st.

Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton) plans to play with the national team until the match against Everton, which will be held at midnight on the same day.

However, Lee Kang-in is scheduled to play until the Trophy des Champions (Super Cup) against Toulouse on January 4th and be the last to join the overseas team.

The Klinsmann leaves for Abu Dhabi, UAE, on the 2nd for final quenching. After holding a final mock test with Iraq on the 6th, they will move to Qatar, the site of the decisive battle, on the 10th.

Korea, located in Group E of the group stage, will face Bahrain (15th), Jordan (20th), and Malaysia (25th) in order.
