We saw the completion of a historic deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. Bethesda’s long-term construction project Starfield has been released. And Colossal Order pleased with Cities: Skylines 2 (which will still take a long time to be completed). Baldur’s Gate 3 won a ton of awards and became a favorite among gamers. The sequel to Breath of the Wild, a new part of Final Fantasy and Spider-Man have been released. Well, how can you forget the announcement of GTA VI.
In addition, this year has been full of a variety of leaks, lifting the veil of secrecy on what studios are developing or planning for the coming years. Insomniac was especially hard hit, as more than a terabyte of data was stolen and new details will be revealed in the coming months.
The main development in the technological field has been the rapid development of AI. If ChatGPT captured the minds of millions at the end of 2022, then in 2023 everyone who can has joined the race. Against this background, Nvidia reported crazy revenue growth.
And in the space arena, humanity has achieved the incredible – more than 200 rocket launches took place in a year. And there will only be more. The James Webb Telescope continues to peer into the depths of space, and soil samples from the asteroid have returned to Earth – but not all of them have yet been extracted. India has become another country to successfully land a spacecraft on the Moon. And China is actively developing its program and seeking to expand the orbital station.
