Apple will offer two new MacBook Airs this year, with 13 and 15 inch screens. And according to information from Mark Gurman of Bloombergthe output will take place between late spring and summer.
Despite the release relatively soon, the chips that Apple will use for its new MacBook Air are currently unknown. According to Gurman, it is plausible that the new 13-inch MacBook Air will have the M3 chip. This could be announced in June during WWDC and the new iMac should also have it. The advantage of this chip is that it will have a 3 nm engraving, which will improve performance while reducing energy consumption, which is positive for autonomy. By comparison, the current MacBook Air has an M2 chip with 5nm etching.
As for the 15-inch model, it’s once again uncertain. M2? M3? Logically, one would think that Apple would choose the same generation for both sizes, but again, the information is not yet known.
This model will in any case be interesting since it will be the largest MacBook Air. Apple has already offered the laptop in 11 and 13 inches. Now a larger 15-inch model will land. Production of the screen began in February.
