2022 Spanish GP F1 Qualification Results: Charles Leclerc wins Pole

Charles Leclerc managed to take pole position in qualifying 2022 Spanish GP Formula 1. The Ferrari driver outperformed Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz.

The Spanish GP F1 qualification took place at the Catalunya Circuit, Saturday (21/5/2022) night WIB. Verstappen triumphed in the Q2 session with a time of 1 minute 19.219 seconds.

Leclerc overtook Verstappen’s time in Q3. The rider from Monaco was leading the fastest time with 1 minute 18.750 seconds and was entitled to the pole position.

Verstappen was in second place with a time of 0.323 seconds slower than Leclerc. Carlos Sainz placed third with a time of 1 minute 19.16 seconds.

George Russell and Sergio Perez finished fourth and fifth. The sixth position is occupied by British F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Valtteri Bottas, Kevin Magnussen, Daniel Ricciardo and Mick Schumacher are in seventh to tenth positions respectively.

The 2022 Spanish GP F1 race is scheduled to take place on Sunday (22/5) evening WIB.
