The current energy and climate policy brings a variety of challenges and numerous innovations. However, new demands on climate protection and energy management, waste management as well as environmental and nature protection result not only in additional difficulties, but also new possibilities and opportunities – for companies, cities and municipalities, but also in the education and career area.

The MSc course Management & Environment of the Association Environment Management Austria provides the necessary know-how. In course projects, participants develop solutions for current environmentally relevant issues from companies, municipalities and other institutions. Success-oriented work is learned in practice in case studies, business games and excursions. In addition, a renowned teaching staff ensures topicality and professional level. For the next course, which starts in October 2022, the content has been updated: In some subject areas there are additions and in-depths, for example with regard to circular economy, spatial planning and mobility management.

The course duration is 54 days (20 months), the structure corresponds to nine blocks – a maximum of 20 participants are planned. The course completion brings three titles – in addition to the academic title Master of Science (MSc), the graduates also acquire the maximum number of points for the theoretical training to become an energy officer and energy auditor according to § 17 (1) EEffG and the certificate for the waste officer according to § 11 AWG 2002.
