2022 MotoGP standings experienced changes in the top flight after Francesco Bagnaia won the 2022 Spanish MotoGP at the Jerez Circuit, Sunday (1/5).
Bagnaia won the 2022 Spanish MotoGP with a perfect performance. The Ducati racer beat Fabio Quartararo with a 0.285 second advantage.
Successfully finishing second made Quartararo widen the gap at the top of the 2022 MotoGP standings. The Yamaha rider currently has 89 points, six points ahead of Aleix Espargaro, who moved up to second place.
Alex Rins who failed to get points in the 2022 Spanish MotoGP dropped to fourth place with 69 points. Enea Bastianini is in third place with 69 points, winning over Rins.
Bagnaia rose to fifth position after winning 25 points in the MotoGP Spain 2022. The Italian rider collected 56 points, ahead of Joan Mir who also has 56 points.
Johann Zarco is in seventh position with 51 points, followed by Brad Binder with 48 points, Marc Marquez with 44 points, and Miguel Oliveira with 43 points.
The next French MotoGP race in 2022 will be held on May 15.
