2021 car bonus, how much it is worth and how to use it / OUR GUIDE – Economy

Rome, 24 July 2021 – The car bonus has been refinanced with the Sostegni-bis state decree: 350 million euro, of which 260 for new cars, 40 million for used cars and 50 for light commercial vehicles. How do the incentives work and when can they be applied for? Our guide.

New car bonus
It can be used by those who buy, with or without scrapping, a vehicle for transporting people with a maximum of eight places to sit in addition to the driver. The factory list price, excluding VAT, must not exceed 40 thousand euros. To this incentive can be added that for rechargeable electric and hybrid cars, the so-called Ecobonus, but only if there is a discount of 2 thousand euros from the dealership for the scrapping of a car of at least ten years and of 1,000 euros without scrapping. Furthermore, the list price must not exceed 50 thousand euros VAT excluded.

Bonus value
For buying a new car with lower emissions at 20 grams per kilometer and scrapping, the discount is 6 thousand euros of state Ecobonus, 2 thousand euros of state incentives and 2 thousand euros plus VAT of dealership discount, for a total of 10 thousand euros. Without scrapping, the total discount drops to 6mila (4 thousand of Ecobonus, 1,000 of state incentives, another 1,000 plus discount VAT at the dealership).

For the purchase of new cars with emissions between 21 e 60 grams per kilometer, with scrapping the discount is 2.500 euro of Ecobonus, 2 thousand euros of new state incentive and 2 thousand euros + concessionary discount VAT. Without scrapping the bonus is valid 1.500 euro of Ecobonus, 1,000 euros of incentives from the State and another 1,000 plus concessionary discount VAT.

For the purchase of new cars with emissions between 61 e 135 grams per kilometer, the bonus can only be obtained with scrapping. The discount is equal to 1.500 euro state incentive and 2 thousand euros plus concessionary discount VAT.

Used car bonus
It is intended for individuals who buy used cars Euro 6, petrol and diesel, with a price higher than 25 thousand euros. To obtain the bonus, a registered vehicle must be scrapped before January 2011 or that in any case exceeds ten years when the bonus is accessed and that it is in the name of the buyer or a family member living with him.

Bonus value
The discount is 2 thousand euros if the used car is in the Co2 emission range between 0 and 60 gramsi per kilometer, of 1,000 euros for cars with emissions between 61 to 90 and 750 euros for 91-160.

You can take advantage of the bonuses until the funds run out and in any case by December 31, 2021.
