2020 WWE SummerSlam results: Live updates, recap, grades, matches, card, start time, highlights

WWE’s biggest event of the summer is here as 2020 WWE SummerSlam goes down tonight from the newly constructed WWE ThunderDome at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. There are six title matches on the card along with a couple grudge matches to boot. It should be an incredible show as WWE puts its best foot forward yet during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the biggest match of the night, dominant WWE champion Drew McIntyre will take on Randy Orton, who is doing arguably the best work of his already legendary career. Orton’s recent violent actions have set him up as the biggest threat to ending the reign of McIntyre ,which began when he dethroned Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 in March. After Braun Strowman’s recent violent attack on Bray Wyatt — which only served to bring out The Fiend once again — the universal championship bout between the two has now been made a falls count anywhere match. Add to those matches two women’s title matches featuring Asuka challenging Sasha Banks and Bayley in separate bouts.

The action gets underway with the kickoff show at 6 p.m. ET and the main pay-per-view card beginning at 7 p.m. CBS Sports will be with you the whole way through the event, providing updates and highlights as the action goes down in the live blog below.
