After several years of falling prices, buyers spent significantly more money on their TVs on average in 2020 – 598 euros, 4.5 percent more than in 2019.
According to the Hemix, the trend towards larger picture diagonals and higher resolutions continued in 2020: 43 percent of the TV sets sold now have diagonals of more than 55 inches (140 cm). And more than seven in ten (73 percent) TVs sold offer Ultra HD resolution (4K); In 2019 it was 65 percent. The regular and detailed Hemix for 2020 is to be published at the end of February.
