2020 FIFA Best Player Nominations Announced, Liverpool Dominate

Zurich

FIFA has announced the list of nominees best player 2020. Of the 11 names, Liverpool dominate with four players.

Unlike France Football, which canceled the Ballon d’Or due to the corona virus pandemic, FIFA is still holding the award for the best male and female player this year.

The plan is that FIFA will announce the winner on 17 December. Two selection panel teams have selected who will be nominated in the male and female categories.

There are 11 male footballers who were selected as potential winners. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi returned, but Liverpool were dominant with four representatives there.

There is the name Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Thiago Alcantara. Especially for Thiago, his entry into the list of potential winners is of course due to his performance when he helped Bayern Munich win the treble winners last season.

Meanwhile, Bayern only sent one player, Robert Lewandowski. Then there are Kevin De Bruyne, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Sergio Ramos.
