At least 202 children have been killed and more than 361 more injured in the attacks by Russian troops in Ukraine since the start of the war, Ukraine’s prosecutor general’s office said on Sunday.
Assaults by Russian soldiers in the Donetsk region killed and injured 117 children, in the Kiev region 106, in the Kharkiv region 89, in the Chernihiv region 54, in the Mykolaiv region 40, in the Kherson region 41, in the Luhansk region 36, in the Zaporizhia region 23, in the city of Kiev and Sumy 16 each in the Zhytomyr region and 15 in the Zhytomyr region.
The Ukrainian authorities report that bombings and shootings have damaged 1,018 educational establishments, 95 of which have been completely destroyed.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine points out that these data are not final, as it is not possible to inspect the entire territory of the country, especially the temporarily occupied territories, as the shootings continue.
