A great friendly between veteran footballers will be held in Essen, Otto Rehagel’s birthplace, on July 11th to mark the 20th anniversary of our National Team winning Euro 2004.
Takis Fyssas spoke about this friendly at the Sports Marketing Awards: “On July 11, a few days before the final of this year’s EURO, the Legends will play against the UEFA Elite in Essen in Germany, the birthplace of Otto Rehagel, on the occasion of completing 20 years since winning Euro 2004”.
This match is an initiative of UEFA and G.G. of Theodorou Theodoridis for the 20th anniversary of winning the trophy. “There, at the Essen stadium, the Legends 2004 will face the UEFA All Stars. We will all be there, all 23 as always a team, facing top European footballers of our generation, such as Zinedine Zidane,” said T. Fyssas.
