I’m very happy to have been here,” said Dominic Thiem on behalf of the athletes, who gave advice and signed many autographs.

The 23rd edition of the event also featured Olympic sailing champions Lara Vadlau, Lukas Mähr and Valentin Bontus. Vice Chancellor and Sports Minister Werner Kogler (Greens) found it “important that we offer sport such a big stage. Because top athletes and their successes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games, World and European Championships serve as role models and that in turn has an impact on popular sport.” Both are to be represented on Sports Day.
