After ten days of illegal occupation, the 200 vehicles of “Itinerant French Citizens” have left the Pigeonnier park in Perget de Colomiers. The latter had settled there on Sunday July 30, without authorization or consultation.
In a press release, the mayor of the city, Karine Traval-Michelet, is delighted: “Our municipal park is rediscovering its vocation as a breathing space and walks for Columérines and Columérins. »
Ten days of illegal occupation
As a reminder, “legal proceedings were immediately initiated by the City of Colomiers to request the evictionof the municipal site followed by the filing of a complaint for degradation”, as the municipality had indicated. It had also alerted the State services to the health and environmental risks associated with this illegal occupation.
Complaint, letter to the prefect of Haute-Garonne, court order… The Town Hall of Colomiers had thus taken numerous legal steps to evict the occupants of the Dovecote park. “Legal levers” which have therefore borne fruit.
A “constant” mobilization of the town hall of Colomiers
If the vehicles of itinerant French citizens left the Dovecote park this Thursday, August 10 in the evening, the mayor of Colomiers nevertheless remains on her guard: “It is necessary to remain vigilant in the face of such actions to prevent them from happening again. »
Karine Traval-Michelet adds: “ We are therefore working immediately to secure the site around Lake Perget, with the laying of concrete blocks, the digging of anti-intrusion ditches and the installation of a video-protection camera. The mayor also recalls that a complaint for degradation of municipal property is still in progress.
