200 million Twitter user email addresses on the street after the attack

Twitter has not responded to the hack since initial reports on Dec. 24. The company, which has been owned by billionaire Elon Musk since late October, has since been repeatedly questioned about the matter. It is therefore not clear whether and what steps Twitter has taken to investigate the hack and close the leak.

The hack may have occurred as early as 2021. It is not known who carried out the hack. A serious Twitter hack could arouse the suspicion of regulators in Europe and the United States. I’m already alert because Twitter under Musk may not have complied with European data protection rules and agreements with the American watchdog.
