20 Years Old, Serbian Man Comes Out of Cave for Covid Vaccine

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

After 20 years of being imprisoned in a cave, original man Serbia the one named Panta Petrovic comes out of hiding to get the vaccine Covid-19.

Petrovic is afraid that the corona virus that causes Covid-19 will come to the cave and infect him.

“It (the virus) does not choose. It will come here, to my cave too”, the 70-year-old told AFP.

Panta lives in a cave in the Balkans or the Stara Planina. This wooded area is in Southern Serbia.

The cave where Petrovic lives is actually difficult to access for people in general because they have to take a fairly steep climb. Even though it is far from the reach of people, Petrovic still wants to be vaccinated to be safe from Covid-19.

With his bushy hair unmanageable and already bleached, Petrovic eagerly rolled up his sleeves to get his first vaccine shot.

Petrovic admits he doesn’t understand people who refuse vaccines. Petrovic, who has been in self-isolation for two decades, said he was confident in the power of vaccines to protect against Covid-19.

He invited everyone to be vaccinated so that the pandemic could end soon.

“I want to get all three doses, including one extra dose. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated,” he said.
