20 years in prison for the assassins of Daniel Busson

The verdict fell at the Assises de la Côte-d’Or: the jurors follow the requisitions of the attorney general for the two main defendants.

Jordan Bridot and Anthony Busson are found guilty of the assassination of Daniel Busson and are sentenced to 20 years in prison. In August 2018, this 67-year-old man was found stabbed in Dijon in his apartment in the Fontaine d’Ouche district, stabbed 14 times. You heard it on France Bleu Bourgogne, from the opening of this assize trial 10 days ago, Jordan, one of the defendants spontaneously admitted to being the author of these stab wounds. Anthony, the victim’s son is found guilty of being his accomplice. At the Assises, this complicity has earned him “co-author” of the crime and therefore to suffer the same penalty.

This Friday, December 17 before the verdict, Jordan, theman who accuses himself of having struck the blows apologized to Alexander, one of the victim’s sons. Same speech from Anthony, who also apologizes to his brother.

“We are satisfied with this decision” assure M° Blandine Weck de Terris who defends Alexander’s interests. “20 years, we could not expect less. Alexandre was able to recover photos of his father. He emerges rather calm from this trial and can begin to mourn.”

An acquittal

These two young men were not the only ones implicated. The victim’s entire family is accused of covering up this murder.

Advocate General Philippe Chassaigne had denounced in his requisitions a _ “conspiracy to put Daniel Busson to death.” The two accomplices had been “recruited”, according to the Advocate General, by Jocelyne, the wife, who wanted to put an end to her torments at the hands of a husband described as “alcoholic and domestic torturer”. Anthony Busson’s lawyer, Pierre-Vincent Connault, had pleaded for leniency, recalling that this son had been “the fruit of a crime” _, that is to say the rape of his mother by Daniel Busson.

The jurors condemn Jocelyne, the wife of Daniel Busson to 13 years of imprisonment, the Advocate General had requested 15. Amandine Tessa, Anthony’s companion is acquitted, while the Advocate General demanded 4 years in prison, including 3 with a probationary suspension.
