In 2020, JLo showed herself to the world as a singer, during the prestigious and discussed Half Time Show at the Super Bowl, together with Shakira. In July 2021, JLo and Ben Affleck were reunited after their planned 2003 wedding fell through.
Her ninth studio album, according to Lopez, is about the “emotional, spiritual, and psychological process” she’s been going through over the past two decades. She says she shows herself in an “unseen vulnerable way,” though her new songs are also a straightforward ode to love. It’s a story about hope and trust that true love will always survive.
