These new strikes which targeted the suburbs of Boukamal, a city bordering Iraq. The majority of the victims are Iraqis, he said. This new assessment brings to fifteen the number of pro-Iranian fighters who have perished in air raids since Saturday evening, according to the OSDH.

On Saturday, similar raids targeted the village of al-Abbas, also located in the far east of Syria, killing six fighters, including four Syrians, according to the OSDH, which then also estimated that Israel was the author. . The Hebrew state did not comment on these raids.

Hundreds of Israeli strikes since 2011

Since the start of the conflict in Syria in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes against forces in Damascus, but also against those of Iran, the Lebanese movement Hezbollah and other pro-Tehran groups.

On Tuesday evening, seven loyalist fighters, including two Syrian soldiers, were killed in Israeli raids in southern and eastern Syria, according to the OSDH.

Israel rarely admits to carrying out attacks in Syria, but often insists on not wanting to let this country fall into the lap of Iran. The Hebrew state accuses Iran of seeking to increase its military presence and influence at its border, by taking root in Syria.
