For the “Lord of the Rings” series, a New Zealand acting agency is looking for “atypical” faces. The company that is responsible for the casting of the new Amazon series looks at people with striking physical properties who want to play a supporting role.

“We are looking for people with overbite, burns on the face, long or thin limbs and deep cheekbones,” says a Facebook ad. Acne scars, protruding ears, thick or interesting noses, small or large eyes, general malformations and missing limbs are also in demand.
