A balloon interrupted Friday evening the railway line between Vige and Saint-Nicolas, in the canton of Valais, causing delays. The disruption should last until Saturday morning around 8:00 am, specify the SBB. Replacement buses are operating.
The incident did not cause damage to people or vehicles, but a contact line was touched, said Keystone-ATS Andrea Rotzer, spokesperson for Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. The latter could not specify the extent of the flow.
