TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Researchers in London, UK uncover 20 main symptoms of the Omicron . variant Covid-19 and how long the symptoms last.
As reported Mirror, the ZOE COVID Study app collects data from more than 4.7 million public users to track information about the virus, from symptoms to the most common places.
This study includes a large community reporting on Covid globally and allows gathering precise information about its variants.
The latest information reveals the top five symptoms listed on the app, namely runny nose, headache, fatigue, sneezing and sore throat.
These symptoms differ greatly from the symptoms of the Alpha variant, the Covid-19 variant at the start of the pandemic, which noted “cough” as the top common symptom.
Other symptoms in the top 20 that were most commonly reported were hoarseness, chills, brain fog, feeling dizzy, lack of appetite and feeling sad.
However, that does not mean there are no other symptoms besides those mentioned above.
These symptoms were only the most reported symptoms in this study.
In addition, symptoms in the Omicron variant appear to appear more rapidly than in the Delta, with a shorter incubation period as well.
People with the Omicron variant tend to develop symptoms within two to five days of exposure.
