About twenty homes were temporarily evacuated last night in a fire in a pizzeria in The Hague.
By 3 a.m., a spokesman for the security region reported that the fire was under control. Shelter had been arranged for the residents, but after airing the pizzeria and the houses, they were allowed to return home. This happened step by step, because every home had to be checked.
An aerial platform was also used to extinguish the fire to check whether a fire had started in the air outlet from the pizzeria to the roof of the complex.
There were no injuries. However, the restaurant has sustained significant damage. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
