The shooting case in exit The Bintaro Toll Road, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, in November 2021, ended in court. Ipda Oky Septyan Hermanto or Ipda OS, the police officer who carried out the shooting, sentenced to 2 years in prison at the South Jakarta District Court (PN) in May 2022.
Ipda Oky Septyan is also in danger of being fired. The code of ethics trial against Oky Septyan will be held on August 4, 2022.
Short Chronology of Shooting Events
The shooting that killed 1 person and injured 1 other occurred on Friday (11/27/2021). At that time Ipda OS helped the man with the initials O who reported to him that three vehicles from Sentul were being followed.

The shooting began when the man with the initials O was followed by the victim. Poltak Pasaribu et al, claiming to be a journalist. Poltak Pasaribu used three cars from Sentul, Bogor Regency. The man with the initials O at that time felt threatened because his vehicle was grabbed by the victim.
“The shooting occurred because of Ayla’s vehicle, which was followed by four people, when Brother O stopped his vehicle at the exit the toll road, the vehicle that was tailed was stifled, then acted threateningly,” said Zulpan at the Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Thursday (12/23/2021).
The Ipda OS directed the man with the initial O to the location, then the OS exited his office. The position of the PJR office where the Ipda OS service is located is known to be close to exit Bintaro Toll Road.
Ipda Oky Septyan then fired warning shots at the following vehicle. But the warning shot was ignored.
Ipda OS fired three shots, two of which hit two victims. One victim is known to have died.
Ipda Oky Septyan was criminally processed and named a suspect. He was also removed from his position and transferred to Yanma Polda Metro Jaya.
Ipda Oky Septyan Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison
Ipda Oky Septyan was then dismissed. Oky Septyan sentenced to 2 years in prison for negligence that resulted in the death of another person.
In the decision issued by sipp.pn-jakartaselatan.go.id, Oky Septyan was sentenced by a judge at the South Jakarta District Court on May 13, 2022, Oky was declared legally and convincingly to have committed a criminal act because of his negligence which caused the death of another person.
“Trying the defendant Oky Septyan Hermanto (Ipda OS) has been proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act because his negligence caused the death of a person,” reads the verdict stated on the official website of the South Jakarta District Court as seen detik.comWednesday (27/7/2022).
The trial of the Ipda OS shooting was registered under case number 153/Pid B/2022/PN JKT. CELL. Ipda OS or Oky Septyan Hermanto was then sentenced to 2 years in prison.
“Stipulates a sentence against the Defendant, therefore, with imprisonment for two (2) years. Stipulates that the period of arrest and detention that has been served by the Defendant is deducted entirely from the sentence imposed,” reads the verdict.
“Determining that the defendant remains in custody, establishing evidence in the form of a black Daihatsu Ayla brand car,” he continued.
