FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Ali Fikri, confirmed the search carried out at the house of Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) on Wednesday (4/10/2023).
Ali Fikri said in his written statement that the embezzlement was related to an alleged criminal act of corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI).
“It’s true, today the Investigating Team continued its search in Makassar City,” said Ali Fikri.
Ali Fikri emphasized that regarding the search, his party would convey the results as soon as possible.
“As soon as it is finished, we will convey the results,” he said.
Previously it was reported that two SYL houses in Makassar City were searched and closely guarded by the police.
The houses are respectively located on Jalan Pelita Raya and Bumi Permata Hijau Housing (BPH) Jalan Sultan Alauddin, Rappocini District.
Monitoring SYL’s private house at Bumi Permata Hijau (BPH) Housing Complex, Jalan Sultan Alauddin Makassar, there were two black and silver Innova cars in front of the house.
At around 15.30 WITA, two people came out of SYL’s house wearing black trousers and shirts, carrying a suitcase, got into the car and left.
One of the residents who was met at the location said that the person suspected of being from the Corruption Eradication Committee was at SYL’s house at around 08.00 WITA.
“There’s a car in one, an Innova,” he said.
From other sources, he has not lived in SYL’s luxury house in the Bumi Permata Hijau (BPH) housing complex for a long time.
Meanwhile on Jalan Pelita, according to information from local residents, the police were at the location from 12.00 WITA.
