JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested three suspected terrorists who are members of Jamaah Islamiyah (JI).

All three are suspected of playing a role in funding the terrorist organization Jamaah Islamiyah (JI), namely the Baitul Mal Abdurrahman Bin Auf Amil Zakat Institution (LAM BM ABA) and LBH which advocated against suspected terrorists through the Shield of Nusantara Esa.

Karopenmas of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, explained that the arrests of the three suspected terrorists were the result of extensive profiling and monitoring carried out by Densus 88.

According to Rusdi, since the arrest of Parawijayanto (Amir JI) in June 2019, Densus 88 received the latest data related to the organizational structure, recruitment, and funding of the JI organization.

Starting from 2019, the deepening of JI’s efforts to obtain funding for the sustainability of the organization will continue to be carried out.

One of the results of this research is that there are two sources of funding for the JI organization, namely internal funding through infaq which is given every month from all members.

“The amount is about 2.5 percent of the monthly income of members,” said Rusdi during a press conference at the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday (11/17/2021).
