SWISS, KOMPAS.TV– Emmeril Khan Mumtadz (23), son of Ridwan Kamil, who went missing in the Aare River is still in search.
There are two reasons why it is difficult to find Eril, who has been swept away by the current of the Aare River since Thursday (26/5/2022).
Quoted from Kompas.comBern Police Public Relations Patrick Jean cited two reasons why it is so difficult to find people missing or drowned in Switzerland’s longest river.
First, the waters of the Aare River are cloudy due to melting snow.
Second, the search can only be done by boat and on foot because there are many trees around Aare, so it is not possible to search by helicopter.
“There were three tourists from Indonesia who swam in the Aare River, two women and one man,” said Patrick Jean, Friday (27/5/2022).
However, the Bern police did not reveal the identity of the victim as the son of the Governor of West Java, Indonesia, because it was not under their jurisdiction.
At the time of the incident, Ridwan Kamil’s family was abroad.
The governor of West Java is currently on an official trip in England with a delegation from the West Java Provincial Government.
