Austria grills at the biggest barbecue spectacle and the state barbecue championship in 2021
With our event, we would like to take every guest into the world of barbecuing. The grill spirit and the enthusiasm for grilling should spill over to the audience when they are allowed to be in the midst of the participants live at the competitions. Kaindorf near Hartberg / STMK (OTS) – From September 3rd to 4th, 2021, the whole of Austria will be all about grilling when the 2nd Puntigamer Grill and BBQ Festival takes place in Kaindorf near Hartberg, during which the 23rd State Grill Championship will be held.
40 teams will be judged in 5 competitions with 120 entries by 45 jurors belonging to the World Barbecue Association. The highlight on Saturday is the free-style of the Austrian state champions in grilling, powered by Napoleon Grill. What is unique about Austria’s largest barbecue spectacle is that visitors can be directly and independently at the scene of the action with free entry, which is very important for organizer Bernhard Steinhauer from the Austrian Barbecue Association: With our event, we would like to take every guest into the world of barbecuing. The grill spirit and the enthusiasm for grilling should spill over to the audience when they can be in the midst of the participants live at the competitions. In addition, we offer our guests high-quality advice and information, as we have all the well-known providers in the industry as exhibitors on site.
The physical well-being is also taken care of, because the grilled delicacies are distributed to the public free of charge in small portions. Initiated in the previous year by the award-winning chef and grill chef Jürgen Gschwendtner, donation boxes will be set up at all participants this year, the proceeds from this will go to the Styrian Children’s Cancer Aid.
2. Puntigamer Grill- und BBQ Festival
On September 3 (2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and September 4 (10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.) 2021, the whole of Austria will be all about grilling, when the 2nd Puntigamer grill and BBQ will take place in Kaindorf near Hartberg Festival takes place, in the course of which the 23rd State Grill Championship will be held.
