The exact facts have yet to be determined, but this Thursday around 7:00 p.m., the Hérault firefighters were asked to help 2 paragliders injured in an accidental fall.
The facts occurred near the Gardiole massif, a site conducive to the practice of paragliding, more precisely at the level of the take-off area on the side of the Maza climb above Mas Rimbault.
The 2 paragliders, a man and a woman, were quickly located and taken care of by the emergency services. A team from the hazardous environment group (GMP34) was mobilized.
The man, aged around fifty, was medicalized on the spot suffering from several traumas and transferred by the civil security helicopter to the Lapeyronie hospital in Montpellier. The other victim, more lightly affected, suffering mainly from the pelvis, was transported by ambulance to Saint Clair hospital in Sète.
