Digos City in the Philippine province of Davao del Sur has caught the attention of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police officials as they raided a drug den that was allegedly operated by two meat vendors and a government worker. The den, located in Purok Riverside of Barangay Cogon, was reportedly being run by Jomari Cusilit, Mark Donnel Violan, and Coleen Borembao. This trio of suspects had ties to the meat vending industry in the province, and the meth discovered by police was valued at P135,000. In addition to drugs, authorities also seized a mobile phone and paraphernalia, and the three suspects are currently being held at the Digos police station, waiting for charges to be filed against them next week. This story is just one example of the ongoing drug war in the Philippines.
